Hello and welcome to Matcha Tourism!
My name is Masae, and I am a fifth-generation matcha tea farmer who is deeply connected to the land here in Wazuka. I started Matcha Tourism as a way to provide a genuine and holistic experience for travelers who are interested in taking a break from the beaten path to immerse themselves in tea farm visits and connect with my heritage on a spiritual level.
It is my goal to not only provide an authentic learning experience but a holistic one as well. Matcha Tourism is open to all those who seek to get away from the stresses of modern life and embark on mindfulness journeys through matcha learning and other ceremonies dating back over 800 years.
Here at Matcha Tourism, we believe wholeheartedly in providing eco-adventures by integrating sustainable initiatives into everything we do. From environmental conservation to mindful practices, we aim to promote sustainable living practices for all the locals of Wazuka. We also consistently collaborate with our local community to support regional revitalization projects, foster meaningful relationships, and make a positive impact on the farmers who keep our tea culture alive.
